HOW DID YOU FIRST LEARN ABOUT TSH AND WHAT DREW YOU TO US?

I learned about the Sampson House when I started looking into marketing positions during my last few months at SDSU. I went to school for fashion merchandising and realized my senior year what I really wanted was a career in social media and marketing. I found the Sampson House and fell in love with their work and aesthetic!

WHAT ARE 3 WORDS TO DESCRIBE THE SAMPSON HOUSE?

Classy, modern, professional.

WHAT PROJECTS ARE YOU CURRENTLY WORKING ON? AND WHICH HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE SO FAR?

I am working with several accounts where I plan out their editorial calendar, task projects to the team, plan out their Instagram and FB feeds, and help with other content such as writing blog posts and editing podcasts. My favorite task is planning and scheduling out editorial calendars.

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO WAKE UP AND GO TO WORK?

I just think it is exciting to get to tackle a new project every day! I love getting things done for our clients.

WHAT DO YOU SPEND YOUR TIME DOING WHEN YOU’RE NOT AT WORK?

Cooking and eating, I am a total foodie, playing and snuggling with my new puppy, and hanging out with family and friends!

WHEN DID YOU DEVELOP AN INTEREST IN ART, DESIGN AND MARKETING?

I have always had an eye for design, I would say that started in elementary school and I channeled it through fashion. In high school I started my own blog and really started to care about my Instagram. From there it has only grown! I find every aspect of marketing so fascinating and love learning new  things in the industry!

WHAT’S A CURRENT ART/DESIGN TREND YOU SEE HAPPENING RIGHT NOW?

Film photography is super in right now and I love it! Also anything with a vintage vibe to it from graphics to fonts.

WHO WOULD BE YOUR DREAM CLIENT TO WORK ON AND WHY?

Definitely a boutique or jewelry brand!

BEST ADVICE YOU'VE EVER RECEIVED?

To worry less about what people are thinking of you, because most likely they aren’t thinking anything at all!

DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN 3 WORDS

Optimistic, Bubbly, Personable.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOUR POSITION?

Getting to wear numerous hats! I love that I am doing something different every day and learning about all of our different clients industries.

WHAT’S YOUR ULTIMATE BUCKET-LIST TRAVEL DESTINATION?

Japan, for several reasons!

  1. I have never been to an Asian country.

  2.  I want to go when the cherry blossom trees are blooming.

  3.  I LOVE Japanese food.

IF YOU COULD MEET ANYONE, LIVING OR DEAD, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?

One of my great grandmas parents! My great grandma is still alive at 102 and to hear her stories of everything she has seen in life is crazy! I would love to meet her parents and learn more about how she was raised and what the world use to be like.

FAVORITE RESTAURANT?

Lams. I am here for their Pho and crispy eggrolls!

3 INTERESTING THINGS ABOUT YOU:

  • I have traveled to 13 countries.

  • I lived in Manchester England for one semester while attending Manchester Metropolitan University.

  • I am a total coffee snob (former barista) and I am not afraid to admit it.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY LISTENING TO ON YOUR PLAYLIST?

Alternative music, always alternative music. A few recent artists music I have downloaded are:

  • Tai Verdes

  • The Band Camino

  • Passion Pit

GO-TO TV SHOW?

Right now FRIENDS! But I also love Parks & Rec and The Office.

HOW DO YOU DEFINE SUCCESS?

I think success is about a lot of different things combined. For me it means being truly happy and content with where I am at in life. That includes all aspects of life; work, family, social, and spiritual. At the end of the day you won’t be content unless all areas of your life are balanced. This is definitely a lifelong progress I will continuously be working at.

WHAT DO YOU BRING TO THE TABLE HERE AT TSH?

I am really good at organization, keeping an eye on deadlines, and paying attention to little details!
