Connecting The Community With Farmers

In 2019, Hungry for Truth aimed to connect local South Dakota farmers with the general public. The goal is to document and foster understanding and trust in our local farmers. Hungry For Truth is aware that unawareness is a primary factor in a consumer's perspective of farming practices.

An Influential Solution

Nano-influencers consistently achieve the highest engagement rates across all platforms, with an average of around 4.39%. We realized influencers with their tight knit communities could help us reach audiences Hungry For Truth couldn’t reach before.

We introduced an ambassador program that paired local influencers with farmers. Utilizing their reach and credibility, audiences get a personal look into the realities of farming. The same audiences realize farmers are no different from a regular consumer wanting to feed their family.

Selected for their alignment with Hungry for Truth’s values, influencers documented their visits to farms. They engaged in daily tasks and shared their experiences through blogs and social media.

In the Past Year, We Achieved a Few Things

  • Over 345,000 unique user accounts have been reached.

  • More than 105,000 engagements on posts.

  • 770% increase in blog traffic from ambassador content.

  • Generated $560,000 in earned media value, delivering an impressive 1,020% ROI.

  • Significant national interest beyond the Midwest.

Future Directions

The program significantly boosted Hungry for Truth’s visibility and demonstrated the effectiveness of influencer partnerships in agriculture.

The plan was to connect more local farmers and influencers. By using this marketing strategy, Hungry for Truth's digital platforms increased in reach and engagement. With these accounts growing every day, we'd say influencer marketing definitely has its perks.
