Since 2023, Hungry for Truth has partnered with Downtown Sioux Falls, Inc. as a sponsor of Downtown Sioux Falls Restaurant Week—an annual celebration of the city’s vibrant food scene. Through strategic content creation and intentional brand integration, Hungry for Truth helped elevate the event by connecting local restaurants with the farmers who help make their menus possible. By highlighting the relationship between agriculture and the local dining community, the partnership reinforced Hungry for Truth’s mission to build trust and transparency in food production while supporting small businesses at the heart of downtown Sioux Falls.

Overview

Instead of a traditional sponsorship, Hungry for Truth added value to Downtown Sioux Falls Restaurant Week through a fully integrated creative and content strategy rooted in local storytelling that was executed by The Sampson House. Central to the campaign was highlighting South Dakota Soybean farmers, reinforcing Hungry for Truth’s connection to the local food system and its ongoing commitment to supporting both the region’s agricultural and dining communities.

Our team led on-site video production to capture the restaurant’s dishes and conducted chef interviews that explored how local ingredients and farming practices influence the menus diners enjoy. To anchor the campaign, we designed and developed a custom microsite that served as a single cohesive destination for video content, farmer and chef stories, and event details. We also created a unified visual identity for the activation, including logo development, on-site signage, and table tents placed throughout participating restaurants.

To expand reach and drive foot traffic throughout the week, The Sampson House activated Hungry for Truth’s ambassador network, partnering with trusted voices to share their Restaurant Week experiences and encourage followers to visit participating restaurants. This was supported by a coordinated social media promotion strategy that amplified content across platforms, creating sustained visibility and engagement before and during the event. Together, these efforts connected farmers, chefs, and diners—bringing Hungry for Truth’s mission to life in an authentic and highly local way.

The strategy centered on introducing Hungry for Truth to Downtown Sioux Falls consumers by authentically connecting local farming to the downtown food scene. By highlighting South Dakota Soybean farmers alongside local chefs and restaurants, the campaign positioned Hungry for Truth as a trusted voice in the conversation about where food comes from and who is behind it. Rather than leading with promotion, the approach focused on storytelling—meeting consumers where they already engage with food culture and creating meaningful connections between agriculture, dining, and community.
