Meet, Yany! She's our incredibly talented design intern. Sweet, witty, smart, creative, and an all-around perfect addition to our team. It's been just a couple of months, but we are already blown away by her knowledge, design, and ability to take on a project 100% and knock it out of the park. She's awesome!

WHAT PROJECTS ARE YOU WORKING ON AT THE SAMPSON HOUSE?
I have been working on finding inspiration for photoshoots, our monthly desktop calendar, and The Sampson House blog. I have also been working on creating email graphics and social media graphics for clients such as Barre3, Breadico, & The Sampson House.
WHAT DO YOU SPEND YOUR TIME DOING WHEN YOU’RE NOT WORKING ON TSH?
When I’m not working at TSH I’m either focusing on school or spending quality time with my fiancé and two puppies 🐶 🐶
FAVORITE SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM?
I love Instagram! It makes my life look much more fabulous than it is….
WHAT ARE YOU READING RIGHT NOW?
At the moment I am switching between 2 books. The first, A Wolf at the Table by Augusten Burroughs is a memoir that recounts his turbulent childhood relationship with this father. The second is a bit of lighter reading, Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosh. It is filled with short stories about life mishaps. Go check out their blog for a good laugh!
WHAT APP COULD YOU NOT LIVE WITHOUT?
I know it’s a social media platform but…. I would be nothing without Pinterest. You could go as far as to call me a Pinaholic.
WHAT’S YOUR GO-TO COFFEE BEVERAGE?
Dirty Chai Latte (Yum!)
WHEN DID YOU DEVELOP AN INTEREST IN MARKETING?
I was 20, going to business school, and being miserable. However, I knew I really enjoyed art while still being analytical and precise. That is when I started to really explore marketing and became enthralled with graphic design. From that moment I knew I had to change my major, so I did and never looked back.
WHAT DREW YOU TO THE SAMPSON HOUSE?
The number one thing that drew me to TSH was their passion. You can tell that they love what they do and it shows in the brands that they help represent. Furthermore, they’re different than other agencies in town. They’re new, fresh, trendy, and minimal (Pretty much my designer soulmates)
FAVORITE WAY TO BLOW OFF STEAM?
I could say the gym, but that would be a lie. Usually, I just take a nap 😴
IF YOU COULD HAVE LUNCH WITH ONE PERSON, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHAT WOULD YOU ORDER?
I would love to have lunch with Jennifer Lawrence. We could have pizza and beer, and become BFFs.
BEST ADVICE YOU’VE EVER RECEIVED?
“Don’t drown in a glass of water," my mother.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOUR INTERNSHIP?
My favorite thing so far is being encouraged to ask questions and think outside the box when creating content for our amazing clients.
WHAT’S YOUR ULTIMATE BUCKET-LIST TRAVEL DESTINATION?
I’ve always wanted to go to New Zealand. It fulfills my love of nature and The Hobbit Trilogy.
FAVORITE RESTAURANT?
Mama’s Ladas- Who can say no to a chicken enchilada and sangria?

I’ve hiked the Swiss Alps
I love collecting records
I’m attempting to learn how to skateboard- it’s not as easy as it looks.
WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY LISTENING TO ON YOUR I-POD?
Currently, I have a nice mix of Drake, Bon Iver, and Bayside.
ULTIMATE DREAM CAREER?
My dream career would be working with A Beautiful Mess. Getting paid to write, photograph, and just create would be amazing 😍
WHAT DO YOU BRING TO THE TABLE HERE AT TSH?
I bring to the table passion for design and minimalism. My goal is to learn as much as possible at TSH and to be able to apply those skills once I graduate from school.
